Previous church Updates
Friday, March 20th, 2020
Hello, SouthSide family.
Leadership has been praying and discussing how to foster community and spiritual growth within our church during this strange, new season with COVID-19 concerns and regulations. Previously, our natural rhythms were church services on Sunday, prayer meetings on Wednesday, meeting in discipleship groups throughout the week, and participation in various ministry teams. We still want to continue these rhythms, but in ways that are adapted to the current times.
For this Sunday we will have an improved sermon (and a 1st run at a live stream available here at 10am) on our website and on our Facebook page. The aim is to have future live sermons available at 10am on Sundays. Discipleship groups are encouraged to keep meeting & can use free video conferencing platforms like Zoom, Google Hangouts, Skype, etc. If you are not currently in a discipleship group but would like to be in one, want to learn more about them, or need help setting up video conferencing please use the form below to let Joe & Jen know. In a week or two digital prayer meetings will begin by using a video conferencing platform on Wednesdays. The church still has a need for each of its ministry teams to keep functioning to support the body and church leadership. If you are a ministry team leader, please be praying for all of your volunteers and be asking the Lord how He'd like to use you and your ministry at this time. If you are a volunteer, please pray for your team leader and the other volunteers and ask God how He wants you to participate in this season.
The church leadership wants to be aware of and responsive to the needs of each one of you. If you have a need or see a need please use the form below to let Joe & Jen know. We'll follow up as soon as possible.
Be sure to check back often for more updates.
